Young Scholar Education Trust is privileged to be a part of the Drishti Project, led by Cpt. Rtn. Anil Mohindru and District Governor Rtn. Amita Ji, on 12th May 2026 under which eight visually impaired students received AI-enabled Smart Vision Glasses. The project is convened by Rtn. Ashok Rai and supported by the Rotary Club of Delhi Metro under the leadership of Rtn. Raj Rani Sharma (President, 2025–26) and Rtn. Amarjot Singh Sethi (Club Secretary, 2025–26). A dedicated team provided hands-on training to the students to ensure the effective use of the technology.
Young Scholars Educational Trust Computer Centre has joined hands with Nav Drishti Blind Ashram to create meaningful opportunities for visually impaired individuals through inclusive education and skill development.
The program offers comprehensive training in Computer Applications, Screen Reader Technology, Typing Skills (English and Hindi), and English Communication Skills.
This training helps students build confidence and pursue educational, professional and personal growth. It aims to empower them with the skills needed to participate more independently and effectively in their day-to-day lives.
A Certificate Program in Financial Awareness & Literacy was held on 13th March in offline mode at our Computer Centre. This initiative is supported by the ICICI Foundation and implemented by the NIIT Foundation, with the objective of creating awareness about responsible financial practices and helping participants make informed financial decisions.
The program aimed to enhance the financial knowledge of participants and encourage them to adopt better financial habits for a more secure and stable future.
A trip to the National Museum was organized on 24th February 2026 for visually impaired and sighted students to experience “Heritage at My Fingertips: An Inclusive Journey through India’s Architectural Legacy.”
The visit was conducted in collaboration with the National Museum and SAKSHAM under the Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan, aiming to promote accessibility and inclusive learning experiences.
The program featured tactile replicas of historical monuments, 2D paintings, and specially designed exhibits that allowed visually impaired students to explore India’s rich architectural heritage through touch and sensory engagement. Sighted students also participated actively. The visit proved to be an enriching educational experience.
A special two-week Tally training session was conducted to provide students with hands-on experience and strengthen their understanding of accounting concepts.
An online Gender Sensitization Workshop was organized in collaboration with NIIT on the occasion of Republic Day, 28th January. The workshop focused on meaningful conversations around equality, dignity, and inclusion. Both sighted and visually impaired students actively participated in the session.
A Mid-Session Certificates, Prizes, Scholarship, and Laptop Distribution Program for visually impaired students was held on Saturday, 15th November 2025, at our centre in Kamla Nagar. Shri Amar Jain, a visually impaired Corporate Lawyer and Disability Rights Activist, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Certificates, prizes, and scholarships were awarded to students from the 2025 academic session in recognition of their achievements. 13 needy and deserving visually impaired students received laptops at a subsidized rate.
An online workshop – AI (Artificial Intelligence) for Everyone was conducted at our centre in collaboration with NIIT Foundation. This session was specially designed to introduce participants to the basics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and highlight its impact on our lives and future. (18th September 2025)
An Online interactive session on Advanced Microsoft Excel was organized on in collaboration with the NIIT Foundation to enhance skills in data management, analysis, and reporting. The session aimed to explore powerful Excel tools that can significantly improve productivity and decision-making. (22nd August 2025)
