The Centre has 15 laptops, 14 desktops and one HP 1020 laser printer. All the computers in the Lab are Non-Visual Desktop Access (NVDA) enabled and are equipped with speakers and headphones to facilitate visually impaired students.
One Overhead Projector, LCD Projector and mic and sound system are being used by faculty in theory classes.
The Centre also has two scanners for digitization of print material.
The Computer Lab and Lecture room are air-conditioned.
We make constant effort to upgrade the Computer Centre with the latest technology.
Accessing public transport and navigating over-crowded roads to reach the Centre in Kamla Nagar is a challenge for visually impaired students. Keeping the above in view, financial support is being provided to enable them to come regularly to the Centre for their classes. Most of these students are staying in hostels situated in different parts of Delhi, which are being run by individuals on charitable basis with meagre funding.
The Centre also has a library that stocks text books and reference books for under-graduate and post-graduate students across different subjects and streams.
More than 8,000 books have been part of our collection at the library, being maintained under Young Scholars Book Bank. Older versions of books have been weeded out and newer versions added as needed.
